Qro is a free, open-source AI QR code generator. This policy explains how data is handled when you use Qro.
None. Qro does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. URLs you enter are processed entirely in your browser and never sent anywhere. We have no servers, no database, and no accounts.
Pollinations.ai — If you use the optional AI background feature, your text prompt (e.g. "pizza") is sent to Pollinations.ai to generate an image. Your URL is never sent — only the image description. Review their policy at pollinations.ai.
GitHub Pages — This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may log visitor IP addresses as part of standard hosting. See GitHub's Privacy Statement.
qrcode.js — Runs 100% in your browser. Makes zero network requests.
No cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting of any kind.
You have rights to access, rectify, erase, and port your data. Because Qro collects no personal data, there is nothing to access or delete. Legal basis for processing: we process no personal data. For AI background prompts sent to Pollinations.ai, the legal basis is your consent (you voluntarily typed and submitted the prompt).
We do not sell or share personal information. We collect no personal information from California residents or any other users.
Qro holds no personal information about any user. There is nothing to access or correct.
Qro does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We collect no data from any user regardless of age.
When you use the AI background feature, your text prompt is transferred to Pollinations.ai whose servers may be outside your country. By using that feature you consent to this transfer.
Since Qro has no backend and collects no user data, there is no user data at risk. All QR generation happens locally in your browser.
Spotify, Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn are trademarks of their respective owners. Qro is not affiliated with any of these companies. Brand names are used descriptively under nominative fair use. Icons are from Simple Icons (CC0 license), embedded directly in the source code.
Updates will be reflected with a new "last updated" date above. Continued use after changes = acceptance.
